A large residential housing complex is planned for the Town of Port Deposit, located on the banks of the Susquehanna River in northern Maryland. Before the complex can be built, the Town must evaluate its infrastructure including water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution systems, and wastewater collection system.
Savin Engineers, working as a subconsultant to George, Miles and Buhr, conducted a field investigation of the sewers in Port Deposit and the adjacent Town of Bainbridge. Savin conducted smoke testing to locate sources of inflow and CCTV inspection to find sources of infiltration and to evaluate the physical condition of the sewers. The entire collection system (22,000 linear feet) was investigated.
