JMOA Engineering, P.C. performed a detailed building assessment of the city's 48 school buildings totaling over 4.8 million square feet. Included were detailed surveys to identify prioritized deficiencies, life expectancy and life safety issues. JMOA prepared all documentation to meet compliance with SED Regulation, Part #155 which included plans for improvement amortized over a 5-year period. As a part of this project an automated infrastructure management system was designed and implemented. This included documentation of floor plans, categorization of spaces and locations of various life safety features. JMOA was retained the following year to perform a visual re-inspection of all building components, which provided updates to the Safety Ratings, existing 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan and Facility Report Cards.
